oh my gosh it's been a month!

I'm so bad - it's been almost a whole month since I've posted on my site....

I loved loved loved the Richard Alpert episode. I can't get over what a good job Nestor Carbonell did in that episode. Can't wait for tonight! Only 1 hour left til it starts.

In the meantime - FlashForward has started back up - and V starts tonight as well... I'm going to go catch up so I can start posting again. Best Wishes!!

AND it's finally spring - I'm so excited I can't stand it.... !!

"The Lighthouse"

Another great episode! I love that Hurley is the liaison between Jacob and the rest of the gang. Hurley gets such great lines. Jacob tells Hurley to tell Dogen that "He's a candidate... and he can go where he likes." (Go Hurley! )

In the sideways world, Jack is talking to his mom about his dad's coffin, looks at the scar on his abdomen and asks his mom when he had his appendix out. Is he remembering a different life? And then we find out Jack has a SON in this alternate reality.... (who is David's mom???!! )

Back on the island it's Hurley's job to get Jack to go to the "Lighthouse" and Hurley is unsure how to do this. Jack doesn't want to go but Hurley gets him to come along when he says to Jack, "You have what it takes Jack." Hmmmmm - more daddy issues? This series has so many daddy references...

Back to sideways world, Jack and his son have a moment. "Dad, I just don't want you to see me fail" "Son, in my eyes you can never fail. I just want to be in your life." (are we fixing some of our daddy issues?) As a mother, if my kid did that - ran away, not telling me where she went I would have a lot more to say than "in my eyes you can never fail" - I'd be TICKED. But I don't live in Lost world either.

Crunchy noises - back to the island. Jacob and Hurley are sitting pondering life and Jack is looking out at the ocean. We find out that the person coming to the island will find it without the help of the Lighthouse and that Jacob really wanted Jack to see how important he was. Oh yes and he wanted to make sure Hurley and Jack were as far away from the temple as possible. Yikes.... what's going to happen there?

Jin is trying to convince Claire to go to the temple to get Aaron and get to Kate. We know all Jin cares about is getting to Sun but hopefully he's not trying to throw Kate under the bus in the process. Claire says that if Kate is raising her son, she'll kill her. Then Jin sees Locke/Smokey and says "John?" Claire retorts, "That's not John, that's my friend" HOLY SMOKE MONSTER! Another great episode ends.

We just finished hour 5 of the 18 hours of the last season. Things are starting to come together but I still wonder - is that all the numbers mean?

Is Sayid really going to turn evil?
How are these alternate time lines converge?
Where is Desmond?
Will Jin & Sun reunite?

I guess we're only 1/3 into the season and the writers have divulged a lot. I'm still on the ride and loving every minute of it! Can't wait for tomorrow night.

Cut to Jin - and his disgusting bloody ankle trapped in a bear trap with crazy Claire trying to help him. Jin looks into the cradle and sees the scariest "babylike" thing concocted from island parts - skeletons and all. Crazy Claire brings the black dude back to the camp.... and starts questioning him about her baby.

Hurley and Jack run into Kate - who's "not invited" on this mission. Hurley feels bad he's messing up Jack's "game" - but this is a Hurley-Jack quest.

In alternate world, Jack's mom offers Jack a drink and then when he declines she says "Good for you" (ahem - why would you offer your son a drink if you didn't really want him to have one anyway???) They are looking for the will which Jack's mom finally finds only to ask "Did your father ever mention a 'Claire Littleton'?"

Speaking of Claire we flash back to her boiling instruments in the crazy jungleland to clean up Jin. "Her dad" and "her friend" told her that the others have her baby.... who is her friend??! She starts questioning black dude and then axes him in the heart. Yikes - I don't want to be on her bad side.... whatever she is. Jin tells her that Kate has her baby and has had her for the last three years. And he tells her that Kate is at the temple....

We see the caves again - and the bodies.... Hurley makes a reference to what if those skeletons are us? (Oh and he tells Jack he thinks Jack would make a great dad.) We haven't seen the caves in a long time.

In alternate world Jack returns from his mom's with a pizza but David isn't home! In a frantic rush to find him (and we still don't know who his mom is!) we find out he's at a tryout at the Williams Conservatory. We see Jack watching his son play piano and DOGEN speaking to Jack about the pressures these kids are under. Jack doesn't know how long his son has been playing piano. :-(

Jack & Hurley are walking thru the jungle and Hurley asks why Jack came back to the island. This is insightful because we didn't really ever know WHY Jack came back. Hurley tells Jack that Jacob showed up in the cab and handed him a guitar case and told him to go back. Jack's reason for returning was because he thought he was broken and he was stupid enough to think that coming back would fix it. Poor Jack. I know he gets lots of grief on blogs but I really like him. They see the Lighthouse and wonder how they've never seen it before.... I guess on this island you don't see things until you're ready to?

Inside the lighthouse there is a big wheel with numbers and names on it - we see our Oceanic friend's names with their corresponding numbers again. Jack wonders where Jacob is, and Hurley tells him it won't be until after they get to 108 degrees on the wheel. Jack sees his name and rotates the mirrors to 23 (his name, number) and sees the home he grew up in! He's ticked off now because he knows he's been watched this whole time.... so he takes the telescope and smashes it into the mirrors.

Loved "The Substitute"!!!

Oh yesssss - this episode is reason number 9,422 why I love this series! I loved it! I was so happy to see Helen back and Sawyer was awesome...

The scenes with Smokey and Sawyer were some of my favorite scenes in the whole series! I love the way Sawyer could care less who Smokey is or if he is the "ghost of Christmas past"! He he he But Sawyer had to be intrigued enough to follow him.... off a cliff no less!

Have we ever seen Richard Alpert less than perfectly coiffed and assured of all goings on?? There's a new "smokey" in town and Richard doesn't know what to do with himself!

It was nice to see Locke's life in the flash sideways. He's dead on the island and he was the only character in previous seasons who knew he didn't anything to return to off island. In this world - he's engaged to Helen, Locke has some sort of relationship with his father, and he is on his way to starting a new career (with BEN LINUS as his co-worker!) This is Locke doesn't believe in miracles and he has no faith like the Locke we knew on the island. This Locke seems more self assured and comfortable in his life. Destiny and miracles are not in Locke's vocabulary.

Smokey/Locke lures Sawyer into following him by asking Sawyer the question "What if I told you I was the person who could answer the most important question in the world? Why are you on this island?"

Realistic/drunk Sawyer says, "My plane crashed, my raft blew up and the helicopter I was on was one person too heavy." (he he he - only Sawyer....)

Smokey/Locke convinces Sawyer to follow him but Alpert jumps out while Smokey is chasing the blond kid and warns Sawyer that they HAVE to get to the Temple, that's the only place they'll be safe and Smokey wants everyone dead!

After following Smokey down the narrowest most rickety rope ladder over the side of cliff they find themselves in a CAVE - a cave with a scale holding 1 black rock and 1 white rock. Smokey throws the white rock out into the ocean in his "inside joke."

The CAVE ceiling! Carvings on the ceiling Ford is 15, Jarrah is 16, 8 is Reyes, Kwon (sun or jin) 42, Shephard 23, 4 Locke, Kate (I didn't see what number she was). Littleton, Goodspeed and some others were crossed off!!

Smokey/Locke tells Sawyer that Jacob had a thing for numbers.... (is that all the numbers mean?!) And that Jacob came to you (as he had with all the others who have their names on the ceiling)… manipulated you and choices you made were never really choices you made but choices that led you (via Jacob) to the island. You were a candidate – to take over the island as protector. huh? what? whoa....

Smoke tells Ford that has three options.... and he chooses option 3 - get off this island and never look back. What does that entail?
The best funeral speech of all time occurred on this island, "John Locke was a believer, a man of faith, a much better man than I will ever be. And I’m very sorry I murdered him.” And then Lapidus says "This is the weirdest funeral I've ever been to." :-) This was hilarious!
Here are my questions...

Who is the blonde kid? Why can't Richard see him? Why CAN Sawyer see him? Is this the re-incarnate of Jacob? Or is this kid Aaron in some islandlike time warp?

Why does Smokey want everyone dead? Why can't he kill the people who's name's are written on the wall? (the prospects)

How long has Smokey been Smokey? When was he a man with all those feelings? Who turned him into this?

If Smokey has taken over Locke, why does he say "Don't tell me what I can't do!" ? That is John Locke's theme song...

What is the purpose of Ilana getting Jacob's ashes? Does she need them to help him be "re-incarnated"?

Wouldn't Ilana know that the Smoke Monster DIDN'T kill Jacob? She seems like she knows THE RULES too!

To get off this island, what does Smokey have to do? What has he convinced Sawyer to do? Is he the devil's minion now?

Can't wait til next week! Would love to hear some thoughts :-)

It's Tuesday...

Are your palms starting to sweat? Are you beginning to sort out your evening so you can tune in to the new episode tonight? It's Lost night and nothing else matters! Starting Monday night I start getting anxious for the new episode. I usually check out ABC.com and see the preview and looking around at other blogs and on wikipedia to see what's new on the sites for the new episode. I usually don't check out any spoilers but I do like to know the name of the episode. I make sure my DVR is all set and I make sure my daughter understands that if she stops the taping of "Lost" (which she has been known to do with "The Office," "Modern Family," and "The Bachelor") she will lose television time OR the itouch. The dogs must be tended to and the husband must be situated so I can immerse myself into the pre-episode and the new episode. I don't ever remember being so focused on a TV show! Don't you feel like you have to jump thru a bunch of hoops to spend that precious hour with your Losties? What do you do to prepare for a "Lost" evening?

6.03 What Kate Does

What Kate does is RUN! As we see in this episode and as we have seen throughout the series Kate runs....

I felt a little let down after last night's episode. I've had almost 24 hours to digest the episode and I think once again, I have more questions than answers. Who is Sayid now? What has he been infected with? For someone who has done so much torturing he sure did cry out a lot. Not that I know anything about torturing or being tortured! Who has claimed him?

The Others really know which buttons to push for people. That was quite a guilt trip Dogen was giving Jack about "letting that happen" to Sayid. Jack can redeem himself by convincing Sayid to take the green pill? What color was the pill/cake the rabbit had told Alison to swallow?

Sawyer runs off into the jungle only to return to "Dharmaville" to find the ring he was going to give Juliet. I've never personally hidden anything under a floorboard... I'd probably forget that I put something there. It was very moving to see Sawyer so emotional over Juliet - I'm not a Sawyer freak but it was very endearing. And Sawyer thinks it's his fault Juliet died. I'm glad Kate saw Sawyer get so emotional too.

Back in LA Kate drives the taxi back to Claire after seeing the baby items in Claire's bag (and getting her cuffs cut off) and offers to take Claire to the adoptive family. The woman who was going to adopt Claire's baby can't adopt the baby now because she can't "do it alone" (ahem - won't Claire be doing it alone?) Back to the point - Claire goes into labor and who is at the hospital???!!! Ethan! Ethan Goodspeed? Whooa! And Claire remembers the name "Aaron." Police come in - looking for "Joan" - and Claire covers for Kate.

Island world... Dogen is talking about Sayid and being "claimed" when he mentions that the same thing happened to Jack's sister..... cut to a very "Rousseauish" CLAIRE with a gun!

I missed Richard Alpert and Locke/Smokey in this episode!

Are some of us meant to be alone?

When did we see Aldo previously? I need to go back and see if I can find him!

How did Ethan end up in LA?

Why didn't Sawyer ever propose to Juliet?

Who else has been "infected" or "claimed"???

Where are the protectors of Jacob?

What did it mean when the Others said the precautions were meant to keep him out - not to keep people IN?

What does the big red flare in the sky mean?

Love to hear your comments :-) Can't wait til next week!!

Locke? Not Locke ? Smokey?

There is soooo much that happened in the season premiere it is just too hard to digest all of it. Let's start with Locke/Not Locke/Smokey. I loved Terry O'Quinn - he did an awesome job playing three characters. The change that Locke underwent by being taken over by Smokey or Man in Black is awesome. The confidence he carries is so fun to watch given Locke's past. The way he said to Ben about Locke's dying thought was stunning. I loved the look on Locke now MiB or Smokey's face when he said that Locke's final thought was "I don't understand."

Then the Locke on the Oceanic's 815 flight where he's talking to Boone about his "walkabout" and describing all the activities he did during his trip. So sad... I'm sure he's lying. Especially when Locke says to Boone "Why would I lie?" The life he wants... not the life he's living.

Back on the island - Smokey Locke tells Ilana's gang that their job is over. They no longer need to protect Jacob and they are out of jobs. Ilana's gang decides to fight back - shooting bullets into Locke - oops - thin air. Smokey appears and promptly kills all the gang members. Smokey is gone and Locke or MiB reappears and tells Ben he's sorry he had to see him like this. Ben has never looked SOO confused! It's refreshing...

Locke comes out to talk to Richard and and says to Richard "It's good to see you out of those chains" - Oh my - what does that mean? Was Richard on the Black Rock back in 1854? Or is Locke Jacob now? Ohhhh - can't wait for this storyline to shake down.

Then we have Locke in the lost luggage area with Jack. Oceanic Airlines has lost Locke's knives and Jack's dad.... well his body anyway. There is an exchange with Locke and Jack about "losing" someone. I think this is very insightful as to the series itself. What is Lost? What does it mean to be "Lost"? Lost in spirit? love? geographically lost? emotionally Lost? Each character does seem to be Lost in different ways.

The exchange closes with Jack offering to help Locke by reviewing his situation. Jack stepping in to save the day as usual. (or trying anyway)

Tonight is the episode "What Kate Does" - the previews look awesome and I can't wait until 8! Check back soon... let me know your thoughts.

Lost is back!

Aren't you excited Lost is back for it's final season?? I loved the season premiere! Questions were answered and more questions were asked. What happened to the island in the underwater view? Where was Claire? Where were Walt & Michael? Is Jacob now occupying the body of Sayed?

The best thing about this show is all the questions you ask when you watch it - and after you watch! You can watch an episode a couple of times and gain different nuggets of information after each viewing.

I'm really excited for the final season to see what happens to all my favorite characters.

This is my 1st blog... so I'm excited for the opportunity to post my thoughts!
